The Results of the Swine Live Production Salary Survey are Out!

First and foremost, a big thank you goes out to all of the 275 swine professionals who took the time to participate in the survey. Your contributions are invaluable in shedding light on this crucial sector of the industry. This study would not have been possible without your incredible participation and the supportive collaboration from Continental Search and PigCareers.com.

Diving into the data, one interesting finding from the survey stood out: The size of the company does not impact the salaries of veterinarians. Interestingly, smaller producers often pay as well, if not better than the larger ones. This insight hints at the growing competitiveness and attractiveness of smaller businesses in the pork production industry—a development that could have broad implications for industry trends and career decisions in the field.

Please note that tenure was not a factor in our evaluation process. We didn’t differentiate between those with three years of experience and those with twenty. However, the insights and trends derived are nonetheless valuable, providing a snapshot of the state of salaries within the pork production industry.

Other data in the survey includes detailed salary breakdowns and comparisons across various roles and geographical locations. We hope the survey data will assist you in your decision-making processes, whether you’re an industry professional assessing your career path or a company refining your compensation strategies.
