The primary objective of the Wean/Finish Fieldsman is to be the face of Eichelberger Farms to their assigned contract growers and employees. Through weekly site visits, the Wean/Finish Fieldsman will oversee the development and production of market hogs, play an active role to ensure the welfare of animals, and help deliver high-quality pork. This person will be able to perform the primary responsibilities in a safe manner while keeping the Company’s best interest in mind.

Physical Job Requirements
Frequent lifting of 5lbs up to 45lbs
Occasional lifting in excess of 25lbs up to 75lbs
Requires lots of physical movements such as bending, stretching, walking, squatting, and working on your feet.
Requires ability to drive extensively in a safe manner during all weather conditions.
Inside of swine finishing barns.
Interaction with live animals
Exposed to the season’s dust and pollen
Check feeders for proper adjustment.
Report complete inventories when barns fill.
Check grower paperwork for treatments, deaths, maintenance, etc.
Work directly with Eichelberger Farms veterinary to provide injectable and water treatment programs for health issues.
Make pre-barn inspections of sites to make sure barns are ready for the next group.
Work directly with growers to improve their management and caretaking skills.
Make visual inspections of each barn.
Collect and send in tissue samples for diagnostics

• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Must have a driver’s license
