Position Overview & Responsibilities: The position of Farm Operations Technician is focused on animal reclaim and disposal, monitoring and managing the manure handling system, seasonal site care tasks, and assistance with seasonal preventative maintenance tasks on company assets
Major Areas of Accountability:
Animal Re-Claim and Disposal

  • Set daily schedule with production staff for daily pick up.
  • Maintain all relevant record keeping.
  • Maintain drop and pick up location cleanliness and appearance.

Manure System Management

  • Communicate and monitor schedule manure system.
  • Monitor and record manure system levels on storage units.
  • Monitor and record water consumption, identify concerns as they happen.
  • Establish separation flow rates and volume.
  • Seasonal Site Care
  • Assist with seasonal site care needs as work load allows.
  • Address site appearance needs, communicate with Branch Manager the issues and implement a plan to correct.

Seasonal Preventative Maintenance

  • Coordinate with Branch Manager when assistance is needed to meet deadlines for completion of seasonal preventative maintenance.
  • Work with Branch Manager and Repair Technicians on time sensitive work requests that may require additional labor to complete.
