Equipment Sales Representative – Sioux Falls SD

Job Description

In the position of Equipment Sales Representative, you will be the face of the company, presenting and promoting livestock equipment to our existing customers, as well as seeking new opportunities with prospective customers. Based out of our Sioux Falls, SD Office your specific duties include:

·         Professionally present, promote and sell confined livestock equipment and automation to existing and prospective customers.

·         Through positive business and customer relationships you will work with existing and potential customers to determine their production and equipment needs and educate them on how our company’s products and services can meet those needs.

·         Prepare and present competitive quotes for medium to large projects based on specific needs of the customer.

·         Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize customer satisfaction.

·         Through your knowledge-based sales you will achieve targets and outcomes within a schedule as agreed upon with management.

·         Manage vendor relationships and monitor our company’s competitors, new product development, and market conditions to understand customer needs.

·         Attend trade shows, sales meetings and appropriate training sessions to keep abreast of the latest developments, best practices and promotional trends in the industry.


Required Skills & Experience:

·         Grade 12 education or GED equivalent; post-secondary education in agriculture is beneficial

·         A competitive, self-starter, who is disciplined and goals oriented.

·         Prior experience in Livestock/Agricultural sales (Equipment, Genetics, Feed, Pharmaceuticals)

·         Must be familiar with livestock equipment and mechanically inclined.

·         Must have a valid driver’s license and passport and able to travel Internationally

·         Ability to grow the sales in the specified territory and meet sales objectives

·         Previous contact with livestock producers and Hutterite colonies an asset.

·         Able to work outside of regular working days or hours

·         Proficient with MS Office Outlook, Word and Excel
