Major Areas of Accountability:

  • Responsible for the oversight of swine production sites within a region under the direction of a Service Manager.

  • Closely communicates and reports on results with the Service Manager.
  • Understand basic principles of contractual arrangements with contractors and producers.
  • In coordination with the Service Manager, actively participates in the group close out review and discussion with a producer or contractor.
  • Work with producers, contractors, employees and local communities in a professional manner to uphold CF standards and enhance CF’s reputation.

  • Minimum formal education required: Some College within an agriculture-based major is preferred.

Major Areas of Accountability

Liaison and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with various departments to facilitate communication and ensure all team members are aligned on project objectives and timelines.
  • Engage with stakeholders to establish measurable goals and objectives for each project, ensuring alignment with the strategic plan and annual business plan.
  • Build and maintain relationships with business leaders to secure necessary approvals and support for project initiatives.

Education, Training and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field, or an equivalent amount of practical work experience.
  • Minimum number of years of prior job experience required: 2-3 years of project management in business solutions.
  • Expertise and experience with Project Management methodology based upon project management principles, including experience implementing and facilitating complex decision-making structures among multiple executive stakeholders with varied interests and priorities.

JBS Live Pork is seeking a Swine Veterinarian for our Midwest Region located in eastern Iowa or western Illinois.  This role will be a member of the region leadership team and responsible for the health of 50,000 sows and their offspring.  A successful candidate will possess the ability to interpret and respond to production limiting diseases by developing, training, and executing effective strategies to support the profitability of the region while working collaboratively with other JBS veterinary team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Investigate, assess, formulate, and present solutions to address health issues
  • Provide visit summaries and recommendations to the production team
  • Conduct routine health checks
  • Implement treatment and vaccination strategies
  • Ensure regulatory compliance
  • Diagnostic testing and interpretation of results

The Sow Data Support Tech must possess excellent communication skills and be in constant communication with Farm Managers and other team members on a routine basis in order to gain and maintain a thorough understanding of the farrowing, weaning, and breeding activities occurring inside EFI sow farms.

  • Work with Data Technician to complete sow farm data audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of the data entered.
  • Work on farm with farm managers and production staff on the proper classification of various events occurring on farm.
  • Work with Data Technician to assist in troubleshooting data entry problems in order to determine appropriate solutions.
  • Responsible for entering all maternal wean pig litter tags in PICTraq.
  • Printing sow cards, Running and designing various other weekly reports, and reports needed by management.
  • May require travel from time to time to production facilities outside the local area.
