What you’ll do:

As a Swine Facilities Sales Consultant you will be part of our industry leading project development group and assist in the design, development, and sale of turn-key construction and remodel projects, with a focus on swine facilities. You will work closely with the sales manager to maintain relationships with existing, long term customers and provide assistance in working with prospective customers.

Swine Facilities Sales Consultant – Responsibilities also include:

  • Act as the liaison between the customer and HBC making sure that the customers’ needs are met and exceeded.
  • Attend trade shows and industry meetings in order to keep up with both livestock and construction industry changes to provide the most valuable building designs for our customers.
  • Communicate effectively through personal contact and all forms of digital communications with both customers and HBC project development group.
  • Make design recommendations based on industry knowledge and Heartland’s past experience.
  • Prepare pre-estimate forms to provide project bidding information in a clear and detailed manner to project development group.
  • Prepare and follow up with building, remodel, and equipment quotations and orders.
  • Assist in preparing project specification documents.
  • Assist in estimating process including value analysis/value engineer recommendations.
  • Develop a clear understanding of available brands and systems of equipment including penning, feed systems, and ventilation.

Swine Facilities Sales Consultant – What it takes:

We are looking for a person of integrity who is a quick learner and has a “get it done” attitude. Someone who is an effective and thoughtful communicator, prides themselves on their attention to detail, and will “do the right thing” can expect a rewarding career.

Livestock Facilities Specialist – Additional qualifications:
• 2 or 4 year Associates or B.S. degree in a livestock related field such as Animal Science or an Ag engineering, Ag systems management or related degree with practical experience in swine production.
• An understanding of modern swine production, or willingness to learn, is essential. Understanding our customers’ business and relating to their day-to-day challenges will allow you to be most successful.
• Proficient in MSoffice suite including outlook, excel, and word. Timberline and AutoCADD experience a plus, but not required.
• Ability to think through complex projects/processes with thoroughness and convey details in written form.
