Sales Representative

About this Job:


To gain market share, one customer at a time, within the US top 40 swine producers.  A focus on customer needs and satisfaction as well as delivering on production goals to Genesus is a must.  Communicating within the Genesus organization and working in a team atmosphere to offer the best service possible.


  • Generate leads through industry networking, and research
  • Identify and communicate with key decision makers in the top 40 list.
  • Develop a strategic plan to engage and work with the top 40 producers and involve all Genesus stakeholders.
  • Report progress and communicate verbally and in writing with the Genesus team weekly and when necessary daily.
  • Coordinate sales and marketing programs.
  • Responsible for follow up on deposits and account receivables from customers.
  • Prepare and submit sales contracts for orders.
  • Maintain all client records and establish a customer relationship management system that includes all key contacts by company, title, and level in the organization.

  • Planning and Organizing – Uses expertise to act as organizational authority on planning, organizing. Prioritizing and overseeing activities to efficiently meet business objectives.
  • Communicates effectively – Develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different producers.
  • Being Resilient – Rebounds from setbacks and adversity when facing difficult situations.

• College Degrees in Agriculture Business, Animal Science, or related field is preferred
• 6+ years of experience in sales, animal production, or related background is preferred
• Proven ability to relate to a customer base through knowledge, background, and/or experience
