Purchasing Manager – System Sow Farms

About this Job:

Objective: Oversight of purchasing for Pipestone System farms to ensure adherence to and alignment with purchasing strategies and budgets.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Establish and implement purchasing policies/procedures/best practices
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with managers/supervisors and finance team to ensure budget parameters are adhered.
  3. Establish and update approved vendor database
  4. Measure and manage the vendor and supplier cost, quality, and delivery.
  5. Troubleshoot cost, quality, and delivery concerns
  6. Work with relevant departments to manage inventory requirements
  7. Develop and manage purchasing budgets and forecasts
  8. Monitor and reduce purchase variances to meet objectives
  9. Produce regular reports on purchase commitments, costs, and delivery performance.
  10. Direct continuous improvement of purchasing processes in line with changing organizational needs and market conditions.
Requirement:

Education: College degree in business, materials management, or related field

Experience: Experience in purchasing and procurement

Financial knowledge

High competency level in MS office applications

Communication Skills

Analytical skills

Problem solving

Ability to multi task/work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Work Environment: Office environment utilizing variety of computer software

Training: Additional Training as needed or required by PIPESTONE

Requirements: Must have reliable transportation
