The company aims to achieve industry best practice in efficiency, productivity, and animal husbandry, whilst delivering the highest quality product to meet market demands. 

Position

The General Manager will be instrumental in ensuring the business remains a leading agricultural producer, with high productivity and low cost per kilo of production. This role will require an experienced and commercially astute General Manager who has strong leadership skills, a passion for innovation and a commitment to team development. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the piggery business with full profit & loss responsibility 
  • Set and monitor pig production budgets
  • Maximise operational efficiency of feed mill to produce quality feed
  • Develop strategic and capital works plans
  • Manage and negotiate with buyers
  • Provide leadershipdirection, and guidance to all piggery staff
  • Ensure compliance to work, health and safety standards

Remuneration

An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated to reflect skills and experience.

 

Requirement:

We are seeking a business leader with experience in management and pig production, a sound understanding of efficient and intensive production techniques, and the leadership skills to implement business improvement processes. 

Post secondary qualifications in agriculture or business administration would be an advantage, whilst high-level computer literacy is essential.
