Summary:
The Account Manager works with the fresh pork team to manage fresh pork inventory and maximize contribution margin.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop in depth knowledge and understanding of the Clemens Food Group pork products
Manage, maintain and grow fresh pork sales for designated customers and area
Develop relationships with customers in order to grow, this will include customer visits
Provide market pricing and availability of product to customers
Know what products are needed to be pushed on any particular day or week – work with Materials Management
Manage shortages, errors, inventory issues, product information and general inquiries with the designated customers
Analyze best return opportunities corporately – work with team
Manage fresh pork allocation when needed
Assist in gathering, analysis and documentation of market intelligence information
Assume responsibilities of other team members when needed
Investigate credits and deductions
Assessment of sales data related to accounts
Participate in various management, marketing/sales meetings, offering input on market intelligence, competitive information
Work with pricing team to manage overrides, commodity pricing
Provide annual goals and objectives which are challenging, achievable and measurable and support CFG’s core purpose and mission

Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree and/or two to four years relevant experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience selling fresh commodity protein or boxed sub-primals required.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret Fresh Pork financial reports.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
• Ability to effectively present information to top management or public groups.
• Must have basic knowledge of computers including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.

Salary:
Experience: 2-4 years
