Feed Mill Assistant Manager

About this Job:

Tosh Farms is a rapidly growing, family owned crop and swine production business with over 350 employees.   As part of that growth, we are looking for a motivated individual to join our team to provide positive impact to our feed mill operation.

The right person will be motivated and self directed, as well as a problem solver.  They will have the opportunity to make contributions to our feed mill operation, that will assist in optimizing efficiency for a 24/7 feed production facility.

Job Duties

  • Assists in coordinating the activities of workers and daily operation of the mill
  • Train, coach and mentor all levels of employees
  • Collaborate with mill manager and mill maintenance to achieve operational efficiencies and success
  •  Maintains quality of finished feed rations
  •  Manage ingredient inventories
  •  Assist in procurement of ingredients
  • Assist in maintenance issues and trouble shoot production challenges
  • Efforts will lead to improved efficiencies and maximize run time of the mill
  • Insure safe work practices
Requirement:

High School/GED required, technical school certification or bachelors of science degree preferred.
2+ years of feed production processes.
Experience in managing people
Embrace change and provide progressive thinking
Basic accounting skills
Must have strong communication skills- verbal, written and electronic.
Must have basic computer skills.
Must have good organizational skills and ability to problem solve
