Employee Transportation Driver

About this Job:

PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Employee Transportation Driver will be responsible for transporting employees to and from the designated locations and job sites in professional, safe and timely manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adhere to ISF animal wellbeing policy and bio-security policy at all times and partnering with Production Well-being team when incident occurs.
  • Adhere to ISF safety policies and procedures and wear appropriate safety equipment (PPE) for appropriate tasks and work in a safe manner.
  • Safely operate a company-owned passenger van or vehicle and maintain a consistent reliable pick-up and drop off route to and from job sites within the following windows:
    • 4 a.m. to 8 a.m. on weekdays
    • 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays
    • 5 a.m. to 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekends
    • Other hours assigned
  • Maintain a consistent schedule for non-job site transportation which requires safely transporting employees and potentially their families to and from specific locations to designated community service and retail locations (grocery store, DMV, SS Office, bank, etc).
  • Be available for “on call” deliveries and route assistance on an as-needed basis.
  • Must have good communication skills and be accessible by phone and email to coordinate route and deliver transportations plans to Human Resources, farm managers and supervisors, and employees.
  • Follow all Iowa DMV state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Delivery and pick up involves providing transportation to specified start and end locations in most efficient, economical manner possible.
  • The driver will maintain a positive attitude that promotes team work within the business and provide a favorable image of the company.
  • The driver will wash the vehicle as weather and operating conditions require to maintain a clean vehicle.
  • The driver will follow the regular vehicle maintenance scheduled provided by their supervisor.
  • The driver will follow the schedule provided by their supervisor for routes and communicate issues if they arise to help adjust as needed.
  • The driver will report any needed repairs or special maintenance immediately.
  • Daily focus should be on the success of the company, not personal issues.
  • Attendance is critical. Be at work on scheduled days and ready to work by start time given.
  • Be friendly, positive, helpful, team-oriented and respectful to co-workers and management team.
  • Flexibility in hours is required.
