Employee Transport Driver

About this Job:

PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Employee Transportation Driver will be responsible for transporting employees to and from the designated locations and job sites in professional, safe and timely manner.


  • Adhere to ISF animal wellbeing policy at all times and partnering with Production Well-being team when incident occurs.
  • Adhere to ISF bio-security policy at all times and fixing violation if issue is brought to light.
  • Adhere to ISF safety policies and procedures and wear appropriate safety equipment (PPE) for appropriate tasks and work in a safe manner.
  • Safely operate a company-owned passenger van or vehicle and maintain a consistent reliable pick-up and drop off route to and from job sites within the following windows:
    • 4 a.m. to 8 a.m. on weekdays
    • 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays
    • 5 a.m. to 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekends
    • Other hours assigned
  • Maintain a consistent schedule for non-job site transportation which requires safely transporting employees and potentially their families to and from specific locations to designated community service and retail locations (grocery store, DMV, SS Office, bank, etc).
  • Be available for “on call” deliveries and route assistance on an as-needed basis.
  • Must have good communication skills and be accessible by phone and email to coordinate route and deliver transportations plans to Human Resources, farm managers and supervisors, and employees.
  • Follow all Iowa DMV state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Delivery and pick up involves providing transportation to specified start and end locations in most efficient, economical manner possible.
  • The driver will maintain a positive attitude that promotes team work within the business and provide a favorable image of the company.
  • The driver will wash the vehicle as weather and operating conditions require to maintain a clean vehicle.
  • The driver will follow the regular vehicle maintenance scheduled provided by their supervisor.
  • The driver will follow the schedule provided by their supervisor for routes and communicate issues if they arise to help adjust as needed.
  • The driver will report any needed repairs or special maintenance immediately.
  • Daily focus should be on the success of the company, not personal issues.
  • Attendance is critical. Be at work on scheduled days and ready to work by start time given.
  • Be friendly, positive, helpful, team-oriented and respectful to co-workers and management team.
  • Flexibility in hours is required.

Bilingual: Preferred

Education/ Experience: None required

Qualifications: Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record


This person must be a self-starter, highly motivated, and able to follow directions. Thus, they must have initiative, organization, and dependability. They will be dealing directly with employees of the company, so they must be courteous, organized, professional and dependable. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 40 pounds as well as pushing, pulling, bending and kneeling. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and stand, and sit for extended periods of time, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, and controls. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and talk or hear.

This position requires the employee to work closely with managers, supervisors, production staff, and other employees, so teamwork and effective communication skills are very important. Good bio-security practices must be understood and practiced at all times. The employee must be able to, with or without accommodation, work in all facilities within the requirements of this job description.
