Objective: To serve as a Customer Service Representative at Pipestone Veterinary Services. This position will provide record keeping, clerical, scheduling, cash processing, and miscellaneous support roles to the clinic and health care team.
Education: A minimum of a High School Diploma
A college degree in Veterinary Assisting, Animal Science, Agriculture, or related field desired.
Experience: Prior experience in the Veterinary field required. Understanding of the operation of a multi-doctor veterinary clinic is desirable.
Skills: Exceptional customer service skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are a must. Strong interpersonal communication skills are important to be able to assess and relay the concerns and urgency of our clients’ pets needs to the other healthcare team members.
Training: Office Safety Orientation
Software — MAS, Cornerstone
Product/Equipment/Pipestone Protocol Training
Continuing education as appropriate
Additional Training as needed
Work Environment: Veterinary Clinic with steady volume of clients with small animals for treatment, grooming and boarding.
Physical Requirements: Standing, walking and ability to be on feet 8 to 10 hours per day
Frequent bending, reaching, squatting and kneeling
Frequent use of one or both hands/arms to grasp or pull
Frequent lifting of objects weighing 3-20 pounds
Occasional bending while pulling and/or lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds, or requiring up to 50 pounds of force to move
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to attend and participate in meetings of various lengths
Additional Requirements: Must be able to work variable day time hours Monday — Friday as scheduled as well as a rotational Saturday AM.
Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation to get to work.
Must be willing to attend early morning or evening meetings
