Technical Service Manager

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Seven years experience with swine confinement production experience in both breeding herd and growing pig production.
• Demonstrated ability to improve processes and production strategies.
• Ability to assimilate, analyze and communicate technical information effectively.
• Interest in managing a team through cooperative agreements.
• Success in production “start-up”.
• Appreciation for systems and how to improve them.
• Willing to travel both domestically and internationally.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Team player.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Bilingual in both Spanish and English a plus.
• Positive and Proactive attitude.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work with multiple customers to insure PIC product performance in breeding herds and growing pigs
• Monitor performance levels and “trouble-shooting” units with unacceptable levels of performance.
• External activities will include service for PIC customers.
• Develop, with members of Technical Services, comprehensive plans aimed at creating value with customers through PIC products, technology and /or services.
• Work with Health Assurance in ensuring the success of high-health programs.
• Provide information from PIC and, possibly, customer field data, to the Director of Production Services as required.
• Help identify opportunities for Technical Services to maintain and improve margin.
• Provide training for new members.
• Help PIC products to perform under field conditions.
