Overview
This is a highly responsible production position conducting supervisory activities and related functions as necessary. This position requires an extremely thorough person, who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels. As unique situations present themselves, the successful candidate must be sensitive to customer needs, corporate goals, team member goodwill, and the public image.
Responsibilities include the day to day farrowing of 2400 sows in a PIC multipication unit. Strong paperwork skills required.
Education and Related Experience
Were looking for a highly motivated and caring person with a degree in Animal Science and experience in a large-scale total confinement swine operation. Concentrated experience with breeding and gestation is a plus. Strong math, communication, and leadership skills are needed to be successful. Since this is a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, we need someone who is adaptable and a team-player. Being good with detail and follow-through are necessary.
