Sales Team Member
Brooks Provisions is a unique, mid-sized, Mid-Atlantic food distributor who is seeking an aggressive sales person who has a strong background selling protein products. Must be able to develop a "book" of clients Virginia to Maine. Our primary focus is the sale of protein products (beef, poultry, pork, lamb/veal, fish and cheese) to the retail and foodservice segments.
Reports to: Director of Sales
Requirements:
Works with both the Sales and Category Management segments to deliver quality products and services to our customers. Ability to travel within the geographic region required (up to 40%).
Responsibilities include:
1. Find and develop key customer accounts: Food Distributors, Foodservice Distributors, Food Retailers, and Food Traders.
2. Makes sales phone calls to accounts on a daily basis selling protein products, provisions, and close outs.
3. Enters orders correctly for each account
4. Ensures product is delivered on time
5. Follows through with timely customer payment Qualifications:
Four-year degree or equivalent, as well as 5 years of experience in a customer-oriented environment are essential. Proven experience in selling protein products: Beef, Pork, and Chicken to Food Retailers and/or Distributors is preferred. He/She exhibits a professional demeanor and personal integrity. Strong communication skills, positive attitude, confidence in securing new customers. The incumbent displays a high detail and degree of accuracy and must be able to meet strict deadlines. Excellent human relations and inter-personal skills are essential. Displays the ability to establish goals and efficiently utilize limited resources. Strong numerical aptitude, high-level of motivation and stress tolerance is required. Must be able to follow through with all aspects of selling "from sale to payment". He/She must have experience with the Microsoft software. Bi-lingual speaking skills a plus: (Spanish, Chinese, And/or Korean languages. Please include a working email address in all submissions.
