Job Description This position oversees the Swine Science Online program and the new education, training and certification program for the U.S. Pork Center of Excellence (25 institutions across the U.S.). The U.S. Pork Center of Excellence involves research, teaching and extension, the latter of which is the Pork Information Gateway. These programs are the teaching components of the USPCE.

This position will assist with development of curricula through the lead authors/instructors for the courses in both programs, which may include negotiation with Academic Deans and Department heads at these institutions. This position will provide staffing for both of the Steering Committees which will meet at least once per year physically and many more times per year virtually. In addition, this position will arrange for and plan the meetings of the curricula committees and promote their activity within the timetables established for the projects. This position has total responsibility for the detailed evaluation plan associated with these projects, which may include negotiating agreements according to stipulations on grant proposals.
Required Qualifications Program Coordinator I: Bachelor's degree Animal Science, Ag Education, or a related field and 2 years relevant experience or a related Master's degree and relevant experience.

Program Coordinator II: Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3 years for relevant experience or a Master's degree in a related field and 1 year of relevant experience.

Demonstrated project management skills. Familiarity with agriculture and agricultural terms.
Preferred Qualifications Design, development, and implementation of curricula.
Familiarity with Extension and Extension programs.
Familiarity with swine production.
Salary Minimum $36,686; commensurate with qualifications
Special Conditions Term appointment with possibility of renewal. All accrued vacation must be taken during the term of this appointment. Unused vacation will be forfeited upon resignation or termination from ISU.
