Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Minimum of 3+ years of sales/territory management experience in the Animal Health industry, preferably in swine product sales. Proven, consistent track record of exceeding sales goals. Knowledgeable about Swine Production cycle * Familiar with Consultative/Strategic/Solution sales techniques, in addition to strong Product Selling experience. Adept at using these techniques to identify and then meet customer needs. Proven track record of dealing successfully with client decision makers at various levels * Must understand how to work with internal (BIVI) and external customers. Able to prioritize and target high potential customers within the territory * Bachelor’s degree required, MS or MBA preferred * Ability to travel overnight to customer locations and meetings * Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving recordDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Utilize effective selling skills, product knowledge, and customer interactions to sell assigned customers BIVI swine products. Execute brand strategies to support the brand image and positioning, and to ensure consistent sales and marketing messages * Effectively communicate the features of BIVI products and demonstrate the value and benefits to the customers. Work with customers to be aware of their needs, understand the market and customer’s business, and establish productive relationships across the assigned territory to build long-term strategic partnerships/alliances * Develop and implement customer business plans utilizing all available resources to differentiate BIVI and its products, and to maximize sales and market penetration. Be a subject-matter expert in swine diseases and production as it relates to the use of BIVI products * Utilize C-Global with supporting analysis to optimize call planning, call productivity, call reporting, the timely maintenance of accurate account and contact records, and customer segmentation. Implement CVM strategies to optimize sales effectiveness and business opportunities. Utilize effective time management to ensure maximum customer contacts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis * Work collaboratively as a member of a sales, marketing, and technical team whose primary mission is to identify customer needs and provide/coordinate the implementation of leading-edge, customized solutions * Work with BIVI personnel to thoroughly understand the assigned market area, report market and competitive intelligence, and anticipate customer needs * Operate in accordance to the values of BIVI and all regulations and company policies and procedures. Demonstrate high standards of integrity, ethics, and professionalism * Attend and effectively represent BIVI at industry conferences as assigned.
